The Final Act.

Jaguar has recently undergone a complete rebrand, this work was a celebration of the outgoing product line.

We didn’t have strict storyboards or narratives, but we understood the look and feel had to be 100% the ‘Jaguar World’, this was about creating a feeling of luxury and a sense of intrigue, whilst hinting at the beauty of Jaguar.

We also needed to create a lot of content in a short time.

When a brief is so free, there’s a risk of misinterpretation and completely missing the intent. Thorough research in pre-production combined with a strong understanding of the brand and creative direction of Gabriel and Freya contributed to minimising any risk in production and thus optimising the amount of usable images and footage for post-production.

Solution

Utilising a combination of VFX and practical effects, we built a simple physical ‘Set’ for one scene, then animated elements with computer VFX for another. Never bound by one approach, our task is to always seek the best solution for our clients. The results speak for themselves.


Vertical first

Vertical was the priority video format for social channels, the stills were both horizontal and vertical.

Jaguar is a British Icon, built on a history of stunning design and innovative engineering. There is nothing ‘vanilla’ about this brand, how do you serve a demanding and exacting client beyond their expectations.

Engineering is the art of solution, our job when creating visual content is exactly the same.



Music

One of the overarching goals of the project was highlighting Jaguar’s combination of tradition and modernity and to ensure this theme was present throughout the videos we created a bespoke composition for each mark.

To achieve the desired result we took traditional acoustic instruments and warped them with modern sound design techniques to create highly textured soundscapes these elements were then warped further alongside the visuals to match the movement of the light and to reflect other aspects in the footage (the falling petals, the conductors hands, etc).


Results

At time of writing this organic content has yielded 250K likes, 2K comments and 2.7 million views on Instagram. Now that’s ROI!

When a client gives you the trust and confidence to solve the inevitable issues and deliver the right project outcomes, on time and on budget, they’re a real pleasure to work with.
